Configuring Netilla to work with Ace/Server authentication | |
ScopeThis technote has been written following limited testing of the Netilla Service Platform connecting to a Windows Terminal Server and an Exchange Server via IMAP. During our testing we discovered a small limitation in functionality depending on the order in which the authentication schemes are checked. We discovered that in order to get the IMAP client to work the authentication order had to be Securid then SMB. The functionality of My Apps didn't appear to be effected by the authentication order since Applications are accessed seamlessly by means of the Scope.

SolutionIn order to get full functionality, My Apps and My Email, the authentication order must end with SMB, This will ensure that the correct Username and Password are passed to the IMAP server. The only limitation of this approach is that is it not immediately obvious to users that they are being requested to enter Username and Passcode at the first authentication screen. This simply means the users need a little more training at deployment.
